About Marathon Health
We are an independent not-for-profit that delivers better healthcare throughout regional NSW. We recently won the 2017 Regional Business of the Year and Employer of Choice categories at the Western NSW Business Chamber Awards.
About the Role
If you are passionate about keeping families together, we invite you to apply for this unique opportunity to implement a new evidence-based intervention program. The multi-systemic therapy for child abuse and neglect (MST-CAN) model aims to reduce entries into out-of-home care, increase exits from out-of-home care, and immediately respond to trauma, substance misuse and other underlying causes of child abuse and neglect. You will be part of professional team that will be amongst the first in NSW to implement the MST-CAN model.
This role requires an individual with strong mental health clinical training and experience to lead a team of therapists, a case manager, and liaise with a child psychiatrist. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining stakeholder relationships (with e.g., family services, schools, corrections, judges, health services etc), ensuring a continuous referral stream, and achieving high customer satisfaction.
MST-CAN offers skilled professionals the chance to work intensively as a team with a small group of families, allowing focused, high quality work with high levels of clinical support.
You must be flexible to support the MST-CAN therapists and case manager on a 24/7 rotating roster. A vehicle will be supplied for work purposes.
You will receive extensive training in Child and Adult trauma therapy, Adolescent and Adult Substance use treatment, and other MST-CAN components. Quarterly professional development booster sessions are also offered, which further enhance skills and knowledge specific to the MST CAN team's needs.
Key Qualifications and Experience
This role requires a D.Psych or Master's degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and registration with APHRA. You must have extensive relevant experience (e.g., in cognitive-behavioural therapy, individual therapy, pragmatic family therapy, trauma treatment and behaviourally-based approaches). Prior experience in a clinical lead / supervision role would also be highly regarded.
Benefits and Culture
We pride ourselves on being an employer of choice. We offer rewarding work in a supportive environment. Our staff have access to generous employment conditions including 5 weeks annual leave per annum and a professional development allowance (in addition to the MST-CAN training).
An attractive salary package will be offered, with the potential to earn a retention bonus. Reasonable relocation expenses will be reimbursed to eligible candidates. You will also be able to access salary packaging, meaning more money in your pocket.
