Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychologist Positions

Catalyst Clinical Psychology is offering an exciting opportunity for a Clinical or Generalist Psychologist to work with Children, Adolescents and their parents, Plus a Clinical Psychologist to work with Adults.

The opening for a Child and Adolescent Psychologist is for up to 2 days per week in Wantirna South, Eastern Melbourne. The Position for an Adult Psychologist is for up to 3 ays per week in Wantirna South and/or Ferntree Gully. Further sessions may be available in the future. Sessions are available Monday-Saturday.

 We are a rapidly growing and progressive practice known for delivering excellent patient outcomes. We are continuing to expand due to solid links with medical practitioners and an excellent community reputation. The practice specializes in Clinical Psychology and Child/Adolescent assessment and therapy. We place emphasis on providing evidenced-based therapy tailored to the individual needs of the client.  We are looking for 2 excellent Consultant Psychologists to help with our caseload of child, adolescent, parent and adult clients due to increasing demand. This will be on a sub-contracting basis. Our clients are predominantly referred under one of the Medicare initiatives. We are also providers under other programs including WorkSafe, VOCAT, TAC and community agencies. Referrals are often for common mental health problems such as Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorders, and relationship problems. We are also known for providing quality assistance for Bereavement/Loss, Trauma, Pain and Physical Illness, Post-Natal issues, Developmental Disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD, and to Carers. 

 We operate in a friendly and supportive environment. Highly experienced Individual and Group Supervision, plus excellent resources, are provided free as part of the package. This is part of our commitment to developing the skills of our staff and the quality of our practice. Reception and Administration support is also provided. Our Team values a positive attitude and a down to earth manner, plus the ability to work independently 

Remuneration is competitive and based on experience within the field and longevity at the practice.

Applicants will have:


  •  Masters or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology  OR
  • Masters in Counselling Psychology 
  • Endorsement in Clinical Psychology is advantageous
  • Psychologists currently undertaking their Endorsement in Clinical Psychology with be considered
  • Registration with AHPRA


Experience in Family Therapy, children with specific learning difficulties or neurodevelopmental problems, or the ability to work with clients referred under the “Helping Children with Autism” Medicare Plans would be desirable. Experience in working in private practice is preferred.
