THE OPPORTUNITY:
In this position you will display an exceptional level of clinical expertise and proficiency to train and develop others. The role provides support Australia wide to State Managers and new employees during induction, as well as ongoing professional development support of employees’ clinical assessment, report writing and therapeutic skills. Potential opportunity to travel to Australian capital cities as you undertake your role.
This is a newly created role to support APM Psychological Services achieve exceptional quality service delivery and clinical outcomes. Reporting to the National Service Delivery Manager, you will support clinical training and professional development for psychologists and intern psychologists across Australia. Services provided include Job Capacity Account Services, Psychological Specialist Assessment services (such as WAIS / IQ assessment and diagnostic assessments), Employee Assistance Provider services (including critical incident support services) and other psychological treatment, assessment & consultancy services. In your role you will be responsible for:
- Manager/Employee support during induction phase
- Coordinating the national professional development program (including developing workshops and telelinks)
- Coaching for employees on enhancing their clinical service provision
- Quality assurance / report review of clinical reports as required
- 3 hrs per day direct client service provision component
ABOUT YOU:
APM is seeking an energetic Clinical Psychologist with counselling & psychological assessment experience, and ideally supervision / training & development experience. The role is suited to those who are looking to work with a dynamic, energetic team in a fast paced environment, as well as enjoy developing customer relationships.
Essential:
- Masters in Clinical Psychology
- Experience in supervision / mentoring/ and clinical quality development
- Willingness to provide services to clients, in addition to the clinical development co-ordination duties (an average of 3 client servicing hours per day)
- High level clinical assessment and report writing skills (including diagnostic assessments and WAIS/IQ assessments)
- Willingness to travel to Western suburbs (including Penrith occasionally) to conduct clinical assessments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Enjoy customer relationship development and being customer focussed
- Enjoy a high paced environment
- Enjoy working independently & to deadlines
Desirable:
- Management experience
- Experience in employment sector / corporate Psychology / EAP / workers’ compensation areas
