The Emergency Mental Health Care Clinician is part of a multidisciplinary“Support Centre” team responsible for coordinating and delivering emergencymental health assessment and support services to persons (including theirfamily, and/or carers) who present to GSAHS Hospital Emergency Departmentsexperiencing acute mental health crises and/or at the risk of behaviouraldisturbances. In doing so the incumbent will collaborate with and provideclinical support and consultation to emergency departments, base, district andcommunity hospital and psychiatric inpatient unit staff, community mentalhealth staff, and other health care providers involved in the patients care.
