KidsMatter Early Childhood Facilitator – Victoria KidsMatter Early Childhood is a national mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention initiative specifically developed for early childhood services. It targets the risk and protective factors for children’s mental health and involves the people who have a significant influence on young children's lives – families, early childhood professionals along with a range of community and health professionals – in making a positive difference for young children's mental health during this important developmental period. KidsMatter Early Childhood State / Territory Facilitators will play an integral role in the implementation of the initiative across multiple early childhood services in each State/Territory. Facilitators will work directly with services to facilitate changes in practice within the service to promote children’s mental health, greater engagement with and support for families and connections with local community services. Facilitators will work collaboratively with the Initiative National Partners: Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, beyondblue: the national depression initiative, the Australian Psychological Society and Early Childhood Australia. Early Childhood Australia (ECA) is seeking applications for the position of KidsMatter Facilitator within Victoria, based in Melbourne.
