Therapy Connect is an award winning, innovative and unique organisation. Therapy Connect has a reputation as an established leader in allied health telepractice service delivery, providing online therapy services to clients around Australia and the Asia Pacific.

At Therapy Connect we are passionate about providing high quality therapy support services to clients who might otherwise be unable to access face to face therapy services. Our clients are predominantly aged 5-25 years and most of them live in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia. Therapy Connect is NDIS registered in all states and territories. 

Our growing team of allied health practitioners are based all over Australia and connect to collaborate with each other in various online formats for joint client work, learning, development and mentoring activities. 

The clients we work with have a range of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, ADHD, neurological and motor impairments, developmental delay, Anxiety and similar conditions. 

About the Role

Therapy Connect is growing to meet the needs of NDIS, private and third party funded clients choosing to access innovative therapy supports via telepractice. 

We are seeking experienced (4+ years) registered psychologist with skills and experience in providing psychological supports to young children and their families, adolescents and young adults. Psychological interventions are required to support participation and wellbeing across contexts including home, school, social and community settings. 

You will have exceptional clinical skills and (with support and training) be willing to adapt your clinical interventions into an online service delivery for your remote clients. 

Working at Therapy Connect as a telepractitioner eliminates the need for you to travel to work, provides you with flexible work hours, gives you access to supervision and mentoring to support the development of your telepractice skills. Training in telepractice will be provided. 

We are offering flexible hours and days and will consider subcontracting or employments models for client work in order to fill positions for 2 -3 days per week working towards a billable targets. 

You will work within a multidisciplinary team of practitioners including speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and dietitians.

You will evaluate, develop and deliver evidence based individualised supports across a range of settings to achieve client goals. Using coaching approaches, you will build the capacity of families, caregivers and the broader community to increase functional capacities.

Skills and experience required for this Role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • 4 + years experience in clinical skills across a range of areas. 
  • Experience working within the NDIS
  • Professional registration with AHPRA
  • Passion for your work with children and families
  • Willingness to adapt your therapeutic approach into an online delivery format.
  • Creativity and problem solving skills.
  • Previous telepractice experience and advanced technical skills are not required, but considered an advantage.
  • Quiet and professional office space with computer, camera and microphone (a must!)
