Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre provides clinical rehabilitation services for people who have experienced stroke and other neurological disorders spinal cord injury, burns, amputations, as well as other orthopaedic and medical conditions. Stepping into an integral role as a Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, as well as designing and implementing interventions for patients and their families. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will contribute to the planning and review of services.

 

You must hold an appropriate degree (Masters Degree in Clinical or Health Psychology) or equivalent qualification along with general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.   To be considered for appointment at the AHP3 level, you must also be endorsed in Clinical and/or Health Psychology area of practice, hold approved supervisor status with PsyBA at all levels of supervision, and have a demonstrated ability to offer supervision to psychology trainees.   Interested AHP2s are encouraged to apply.

 

Significant experience in psychology, including assessment, treatment and treatment evaluation is essential, and you will bring to the table the ability to apply skills in assessing and resolving clinical problems.  You will possess sound knowledge of the impact of health issues on individuals, families, and community functioning, and use this knowledge to design, implement, and evaluate psychological procedures and interventions, including individual, group and family-based interventions, as well as provide consultancy services to hospital units and outside agencies. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, bringing experience with multidisciplinary teamwork.
