Anglicare Tasmania are a diverse organisation and offer a variety of services to the community across the State with the head office based in the Hobart CBD. 

Your new role :

Working as a key part of the Disability Services division, this role will see you work closely alongside people with disabilities, brain injuries or issues related to ageing in order to support and empower them. This challenging and rewarding role will see you utilise your passion and experience to carry out a variety of tasks including: 


·         Completing assessments of client’s abilities and needs

·         Developing and assisting with the implementation of intervention and support plans

·         Providing therapeutic intervention, either directly or through referrals

·         Working closely with other team members and services to empower clients to achieve their goals

·         Acting as a consultant around matters relating to quality and service

·         Providing training and completing internal audits

·         Undertaking program evaluation, research and strategic service planning


What you will need to succeed 

You will be a qualified Allied Health professional who is highly passionate about the disability sector and has a strong understanding of the challenges faced by those with disabilities, brain injuries and issues related to ageing. You will work in a team of like-minded people who provide support to one another. With a background in psychology, social work, speech pathology or occupational therapy, you will be able to demonstrate the following: 

·         Experience in bio-psychosocial assessment processes

·         The ability to develop client specific behavioural intervention plans which can improve the lives of clients and their families

·         Understanding of all relevant service standards

·         Flexibility and adaptability

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         A self-motivated approach with the drive to make a difference in the disability sector

·         The ability to provide leadership to the team and build relationships with external service providers

·         A current Working With Vulnerable People check (WWVP)

·         National Police Check

·         Current drivers’ license
