The position provides psychological services, maintains an active case-load, and delivers a psychological service response to a diverse range of individuals. The setting is an acute inpatient psychiatric unit that provides psychiatric assessment and treatment to adult consumers (aged 25-64 years) who are acutely unwell due to a relapse of their mental illness or other mental health issues and cannot receive care in a less restrictive environment.
This role will suit a dedicated and competent clinical or forensic psychologist who wants to develop or further enhance their competencies in working in adult mental health. With your foundation being a commitment to public health, we look to you to support our goals of best care, providing psychological assessments and intervention for our consumers. Your delivery of psychologically interventions meets the behavioural, cognitive, emotional and psychological needs of consumers experiencing mental illness. As you can imagine, this role will allow you to draw on your existing experience and qualifications and build on these.
