The Life Promotion Clinic is the only outpatient facility in Australia treating adult individuals who are self-harming and/or suicidal. As a private treatment clinic, clients who attend must be suitable for therapy and not in active crisis.

The clinic is conveniently located at Griffith University Mt Gravatt campus and opens to patients Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  We are seeking a clinical psychologist to join our team for one or both days each week.

  • Ability to gain a Medicare provider number
  • Indemnity insurance
  • Excellent working knowledge of CBT and/or DBT

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to use a patient management system
  • While not necessary, previous experience working with suicidal clients will be highly regarded

This is a rewarding opportunity where clinicians can make a real difference in helping people and assisting to prevent suicide. You will also be rewarded with:

  • A generous independent contractor agreement
  • A strong referral base and waiting list of patients
  • A highly supportive Administration team and a friendly multidisciplinary team environment
  • Team supervision is provided weekly and clinical support is available if needed on site. Some training will be provided to the successful candidate.
