Child and Family Psychologist

We are seeking a child psychologist who is passionate about working with kids and teens with autism spectrum disorder.  We are a a family-focused practice with lots of opportunities for collaboration and shared work. We offer families a unique wrap-around service.  

We offer you:

Contracting fees or salary that are well above the industry standard, flexible days, admin support, thorough intake system and thoughtful case allocation, a warm child and family friendly clinic space, loads of resources.  $ for CPD, on-site regular supervision, PBA endorsed supervision, fun, some chocolate ?? and coffee, team catch ups, in a relaxed and supportive team.  Training is also available for ADOS training for the right applicant. 

About the role:

  • ASD focused work (or a mix if you prefer)
  • Assessment of needs, intervention for anxiety, mood, challenging behaviours, self-regulation, affect regulation, interpersonal skills, and ASD screening if required
  • Liaising with schools, providing psychoeducation and support to families 
  • Possible opportunities for formal ASD assessment with children and teens. 
  • The position is very flexible and could be part-time or subcontracting, we can build the role around your preferences.
  • A wonderful opportunity for early career psychologists to build their skills in working with children and families 


Essential to the role:

  • Fully registered psychologist (AHPRA) 
  • Eligible to register with Medicare
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Prefer two years experience
  • Have great clinical intervention skills
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging and working effectively with children/adolescents who are on the spectrum.
