Private Billing Psychologist for Medical Centre In Upper North Shore

Pymble Family Doctors is a private billing Practice that supports the local community with a diverse range of health services. We are looking to incorporate a psychologist into our mix to help with a range of life circumstances and conditions including children, adolescents, and family therapy anxiety, trauma, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), oppositional and behavioural difficulties, grief and loss and specific learning difficulties.

About the Role

We are currently looking for applications for a psychologist who have experience working with and assessing children, adolescents and adults. The position is available for 1-2 days a week with the option to increase days in the future. Experienced practitioners are preferred, especially those with experience working with young people on neurodevelopmental conditions.

Skills and Experience

  • We are seeking an applicant who possesses a positive, empathetic and evidence based approach to dealing with a range of social, emotional and behavioural conditions in young people.
  • We are seeking an applicant who has an ability to support parents and teachers with care and consideration and apply interventions to support young people.
  • We are seeking an applicant who can conduct developmental assessments, inclusive of ADHD and educational assessments. An applicant who is willing to undertake training and supervision in order to learn how to conduct developmental assessments will also be considered.
  • We are seeking an applicant who has well developed report writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful applicants will have full registration with AHPRA, a Working with Children (WWC) and Police Check, current Professional Indemnity Insurance, Australian Business Number (ABN) and Medicare provide number.
