Clinical Psychologist/Registered Psychologist-Private Practice (Dee Why)

At Thinkahead we work across both the clinical field of private practice as well as the corporate consulting space.

Our practice treat a broad range of presentations across the lifespan. We work closely with children, adolescents and adults and provide clinical interventions to individuals, couples and families.

Due to increasing demand we are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate clinician with strong clinical skills to join our team on a part time basis. Ideally, the successful candidate can commit to 2 days a week and has the flexibility to increase their hours/days as required. The clinician must be available to provide after hour appointments.

The right person will be self driven yet capable to be an intergral part of the team and help grow the business.

  Main Duties:

  • Counselling / EAP counselling
  • Clinical Assessments and interventions
  • Report writing
  • Clinical case documentation
  • Liaison with other health providers regarding client progress
  • Development of articles and resource materials   

Essential Criteria:

  • Completion of a Masters in Psychology and strong clinical skills
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
  • Experience working with children and adolescent
  • Full registration with AHPRA, Medicare and SIRA
  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance  and ACN number
  • Strong experience and knowledge working within the frame work of Employee Assistance Programs, Workers Compensation and Better Access of Mental Health
  • Strong clinical and organisational experience (knowledge of a variety of therapeutic approaches and interventions)
  • Ability to perform out of hours work
