The Psychology Spot has an opportunity for an AHPRA registered psychologist who wants to work in central Wollongong in a private practice part-time contract role. We currently have most need for a psychologist who enjoys working primarily with children and adolescents but we are open to psychologists with other interest areas too (including see adults under Medicare and the NDIS).
Half of our referrals are through the NDIS so experience and confidence in disability is beneficial. We are looking for someone who would like to start out at a few days a week, and then build their client base from there.
Autonomy and creative freedom to practice your evidence-based craft in a way that feels relational, inspiring, humanistic and helpful
Freedom from workplace politics
A lovely, furnished and very spacious room in the heart of Wollongong Mall
Reception and administrative support to handle all your client bookings, diary management and invoicing
Flexible hours and days – earn what you like
Friendly and supportive colleagues
THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Believes in the benefits of applied psychology and the changes it can facilitate – because they’ve seen plenty of positive evidence in their own work
Would like to measure their client outcomes and receive client feedback so they can track progress, report on outcomes and continue to improve over the life of their career
Is clear and confident in their chosen psychological approaches
Shows compassion and humility through their relational style
Understands (or is willing to experience) the opportunities, challenges, freedoms and responsibilities of a private practice environment
Accepts Mental Health Care Plan referrals from GP’s
Accepts referrals through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
If you are interested, I’d love to hear from you. Email me to arrange a call or catch-up to talk more about your ideas, your values, and the type of work you want to do.
