Clinical Psychologist – After Hours and/or Saturday Availability

myLife Psychologists is an established private practice with consultation rooms in Sydney’s CBD and Alexandria. We provide evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults and couples presenting with a range of difficulties. Our clients are generally high functioning, and the case load is varied with opportunities to develop areas of special interest.

Ensuring our staff are well supported is a priority, and we offer a relaxed, professional and collegial work environment where sustainable work practices and flexibility are supported. We are a paperless office with a streamlined online practice management system. We have full time administration support and offer supervision as well as opportunities for peer support and quarterly team meetings.

We are currently seeking a clinical psychologist to join our team in either or both our Alexandria and CBD offices for after-hours work, with various days and hours available and the start date is flexible. Saturday work is available in our Alexandria office. The role will involve seeing primarily general adult referrals though we can offer a mixed case load across ages and presentations if desired. We are looking for a skilled clinician who is committed to achieving the best outcomes for their clients, and who is enthusiastic about their own professional development and about contributing to the team culture. We offer attractive contract rates.

We are seeking applicants who:

  • Have a clinical masters or doctorate in psychology;
  • Are fully registered as a psychologist with AHPRA with clinical endorsement (or close attainment);
  • Have eligibility for registration with Medicare;
  • Have excellent skills in providing CBT and other evidence-based therapeutic interventions (e.g. DBT, ACT, Schema Therapy and/or couples therapy);
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills;
  • Are able to work autonomously within a team;
  • Have experience working with complex presentations;
  • Are available to work after hours (e.g. from 4pm onwards).
