Youth Worker - Service Access
  • Part-time - 22.8 hours per week

Manningham City Council and Each Social and Community health are pleased to be partnering to deliver Manningham youth services for young people who live, work, study or have significant connections to Manningham. EACH will deliver these services under the EPIC service model: Empower, Partner, Innovate, Connect. The EPIC service model aims to deliver a responsive and youth-friendly service that meets the needs of all young people living in or connected to Manningham through a holistic, scaled approach.

The new Youth Services team consists of following roles advertised separately:

  • Team Leader
  • Youth Participation Worker
  • Youth Engagement Worker
  • Youth Worker - service Access

Who we're looking for

To be successful in this role you will have a tertiary qualification in Youth or related field along with demonstrated expertise and experience in youth work.
You will also bring with you exceptional engaging and networking skills to engage with youth to bring desired outcomes in the community.

What you'll be doing

The key role of the Youth Worker - Service Access is to connect young people and their families with access, information and referral services in the Manningham area. The Y&F Access Clinician will work collaboratively with the Youth Engagement Worker to develop and promote resources, website material and a strong social media presence, with the aim of connecting young people in the
area to the community, each other, and when needed, support services. The Clinician will also offer co-facilitation of prevention and early intervention group programs for young people and parents.

Who you'll be working with

Working closely with youth services, you will assist with the provision of integrated pathways and programs for young people under the EPIC Service model Empower, Partner, Innovate, Connect. Working with other professionals within the Manningham Council area, within a variety of disciplines, our team is dedicated to giving young people the best possible support.
