2 Positions (Psychologist /Clinical Psychologist/Child Psychologist - Dee Why

Thinkahead is a private practice on the northern beaches (Dee Why). Our practice treat a broad range of presentations across the lifespan. We work closely with children, adolescents and adults and provide clinical interventions to individuals, couples and families. 

Our strong referrals are from local GPs, insurers, allied health professionals and corporate organisations.

Due to increasing demand we are looking to fill 2 contract positions:

Position 1- Clinical or Registered Psychologist

Seeking an enthusiastic and passionate clinician with strong clinical skills to join our team on a part time basis. Must have experience in MHCP, EAPs, Workers Compensation and Return to work programs. Ideally, the successful candidate can commit to 2 days a week and has the flexibility to increase their hours/days as required. The clinician must be available to provide after hour appointments.

Position 2 - Child and Adolescent Psychologist

A portion of our referrals are children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, sleep and behavioural challenges and social, emotional and intellectual difficulties.

We are seeking a passionate clinician who is a self starter and can commit to 2 days a week ( with the potential to increase their days as desired). The role requires strong clinical skills and proficiency in child and adolescent assessments. We are looking for someone that can help us further expand the clinical assessments side of the business (social, emotional, developmental, intellectual & behavioural assessments) and is proficient in ABAS,ASD,ADIR,ADOS WICS, Connors)

Essential Criteria:

  • Completion of a Masters in Psychology and strong clinical skills
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
  • Full registration with AHPRA, Medicare and SIRA
  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance  and ACN number
  • Strong experience and knowledge working within the frame work of Employee Assistance Programs, Workers Compensation and Better Access of Mental Health
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Strong clinical and organisational experience (knowledge of a variety of therapeutic approaches and interventions)
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Ability to perform out of hours work

  Desirable Criteria:

  • Interest in running group sessions and delivering training 
  • NDIS registered
