An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Senior Psychologist to join our Health Independence Program (HIP) Pain Service for a fixed term period.
The outpatient clinics operate on a Monday, Tuesday (medical only) and Thursday and are based primarily at the Health and Rehabilitation Centre, Repatriation Campus.
The Pain Service Senior Psychologist position constitutes a key role within the service and includes provision of clinical services (assessment and intervention) to clients with complex pain, participation in multi-disciplinary meetings and case conferences, primary, secondary and tertiary consultations and involvement in teaching activities and supervision of other psychologists in HIP. By demonstrating excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, the Pain Service Senior Psychologist will facilitate the delivery of a high quality, responsive service which is patient centred and goal focused in order to achieve evidence based best practice and optimise health outcomes for patients and the community.
