(Comprising salary $101,433 - $113,600, superannuation, leave loading and 2 weeks extra recreation leave)
Location: Alyangula, Groote Eylandt Archipelago
Fixed vacancy available for 12 months, with accommodation provided on island.
The position of psychologist is a new position based within the East Arnhem Region, it is currently available for a 12 month period commencing in January, 2019.
The Groote Eylandt Archipelago is made up of 3 main Aboriginal Communities and their associated Homelands, it has a central mining town and is based in the East Arnhem South District. This position will be integrated across the primary health care service settings requiring acute, sub-acute, youth and mental health care psycho-therapeutic intervention and support. The position operates in a matrix reporting arrangement with professional leadership provided by East Arnhem Mental Health / Alcohol and Other Drugs Team and operational leadership provided by the District Manager South.
The successful applicant will have experience working within a social and emotional wellbeing model of care specific to Indigenous peoples of Australia.
