The position holder provides psychological services to eligible clients by referral who are affected and/or impacted by mental illness. Key work tasks associated with this role include:
Determining client eligibility for service delivery;
Development of Psychological Treatment Plans (PTPs);
Provision of treatment by way of individual, group and/or family sessions;
Reviewing progress of PTPs and the outcomes of sessions, supports and strategies, and;
Referral of clients to alternative support services as and where appropriate.
To be considered for appointment to this role, prospective candidates must possess tertiary qualifications in Psychology, an active provider number with Medicare and hold either general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) or registration in the health profession of psychology with AHPRA and endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia to practice in clinical psychology.
The appointee will possess comprehensive experience and interest in the assessment and treatment of a variety of psychological conditions across a broad client group including children.
This position is available on a full time basis based in Ringwood with outreach as required. Candidates seeking part time employment (ie: 0.8 FTE/4 days a week) are welcome to express interest. Evening work (until 8:00pm) will be required one night a week.
