Senior Psychologist

ONA is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated professional to join its growing Psychological Services team. The Psychologist role is essential in the daily operations of the organisation. Key focus areas of this position include: coordinating and undertaking psychological assessments; support and development of wellbeing related projects, including the promotion of the agency employee assistance program; organisation research and collaboration internally and externally to the organisation. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be highly motivated and organised with a proven record of delivering quality outcomes. In working for ONA, you will use the full breadth of your psychological skill set.  This is an exciting time for ONA as we are working towards transitioning to the Office of National Intelligence (ONI) in mid-2018. The right people will be part of this transformation process and will then continue to work as part of the ONI executive level group to fulfil our new obligations for the Australian Government.

 

DUTIES

  • Provide advice to Senior Management on complex psychological assessments and presentations

  • Manage ongoing maintenance and aftercare of individuals to support security requirements, including providing subject matter advice at agency personnel management meetings

  • Develop and facilitate the ONA Psychological Services Strategic Plan, in collaboration with the Director, Psychology

  • Assist with the review and development of agency psychological policies 

  • Manage and promote staff well-being programs in accordance with the strategic direction of the organisation

  • Undertake research, project work and provide analysis on current psychological trends in organisational health, security psychology and staff well-being related areas

  • Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and promote ONA Psychological Services and progress business outcomes

  • Provide other services and input to management and stakeholders on behavioural science related issues as required i.e. organisational health

  • Contribute to organisational change management initiatives.
