OGI Potential is a Psychology clinic
operating from Deception Bay just north of the Brisbane metropolitan area. The clinic enjoys ongoing relationships with
GPs in surrounding areas and we are currently expanding our practice. Our clinical and administrative group is
close knit and supportive and we are searching for a motivated individual to
join our team. New psychologists are
provided close professional support by the Principle Psychologist in the
initial months with ongoing clinical supervision through this time.
The contracted position is for two days
per week, increasing to three days per week as soon as possible after the probationary period. The position includes a three month salaried probationary
period ($85k pro rata, plus holiday and
sick leave for Clinical Psychology Registrars or those looking to commence this
supervision, or $95k pro rata plus holiday and sick leave for Clinical
Psychologists) to ensure the successful applicant enjoys consistent income as
they develop a full client case load.
Core position responsibilities:·
diagnostic interviews and provide therapy under Better Access, Brisbane Mind,
Workcover and Veterans Affairs provisions.
- Develop tailored formulations of
case requirements and utilise evidenced based therapeutic approaches
(e.g., Interpersonal Therapy for grief, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for

at pre, mid and post therapy intervals to confirm the utility of interventions.
- Produce timely, brief clinical
letters/reports for referring General Practitioners (or other referring
agents). Maintain accurate clinical
- Ability to work with client's who
present with a broad range of issues (e.g., depression, grief,
relationship concerns etc).
Psychologist registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Master or
Doctorate of Clinical Psychology.
- Engagement in ongoing
professional development to meet the registration requirements of AHPRA. FREE ongoing clinical supervision the Principal
Clinical Psychologist will be provided for recent graduates looking to
gain entry to the Australian Psychological Society Clinical College.
- A willingness to work with
children or experience working with children between the ages of 5 to 18.
- Two years or more clinical
experience post full registration.
- Current endorsement as a Clinical
Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Psychologists with a clinical
area of interest (e.g., specific clinic presentations or groups, e.g.,
low-self-esteem, eating disorders, substance abuse issues).
