About the program

Mums and Kids Matter is a ground breaking and exciting program at Wesley Mission that supports mothers living with mental illness.


The program is underpinned by a basic belief that retaining intact families, rather than having children placed in out of home care, is beneficial for the child, the mother, the immediate family and the wider community.


About the role

Mums and Kids Matter is currently looking for a qualified, skilled and experienced clinical psychologist who will lead the allied health team, manage the 24/7 roster, care for clients and develop staff.


The person we are looking for understands the value of a person centred recovery approach and is able to work as part of a successful multi-disciplinary team.



Essential criteria


  • clinical psychologist with demonstrated experience in a mental health setting

  • AHPRA registration and member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS)

  • demonstrated ability to work within a recovery oriented model, utilising a person/family centred approach

  • ability to engage and inspire a passionate team through the provision of a supportive and collaborative management style and clear decision making

  • excellent leadership qualities: demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team of professionals to deliver a high standard of client care and support

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • excellent organisational skills with thorough attention to detail

  • current unrestricted NSW Driver’s License




Total remuneration package: $117,801

Additional option to salary package up to $10,000+ gross up value
