Defence is seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher with interests and skills in psychometrics, statistics, and research design within an occupational psychology context.
This position leads a small professional team of psychologists and researchers responsible for developing and maintaining the psychological assessment procedures and standards for entry into the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Through liaison with professional counterparts within Defence and other agencies, industry, and the international military establishment, the team develops and validates psychometric tests, enlistment standards, and selection policies and procedures for more than 150 Australian Defence Force roles, including new and emerging military occupations.
The position also contributes to research in and provides advice to stakeholders on occupational psychology factors that influence employee wellbeing, satisfaction and productivity/capability for complex military occupations.
