If you are a highly motivated Psychologist with a strong clinical background with a minimum of five years professional experience and have an interest in providing client-centered and evidence based family sensitive mental health services then this position would suit you. This position is responsible for the provision of a full range of mental health service delivery activities including intake, case allocation, comprehensive assessment, risk assessment and treatment planning to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members. Additionally, the position is responsible for liaising with and building effective relationships with key stakeholders, managers, and Commanders to facilitate and support the management of wounded, injured and ill ADF members and enable organisational capability.
The opportunity to be engaged in a service which provides regular clinical up-skilling, clinical supervision and the ability to work across a service delivery model which incorporates early intervention, mental health promotion and clinical services will provide a varied and interesting job role.
Further duties of this position include organisational psychology functions (job testing and assessment), oversight and responsibility for clinical governance, adherence to legislation and Defence policy and tailoring of clinical services in response to regional demands as part of timely delivery of Mental Health and Psychology services in Canberra.
