Provisional Psychologist - Full Time - Tamworth

Centacare NENW is a leading provider of social and community services across the New England North West area. We have ten office locations across the region and are currently seeking a full time Provisional Psychologist to join our Clinical Services Team in Tamworth.

  • Assistance developing a Supervised Practice Plan

About The Job

Working as part of our team you will be involved in the treatment and care of adult and child cases of various clinical presentations, including Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) individuals. Our referrals come through many pathways including but not limited to:

  • Medicare or ATAPS programs

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling

  • General Counselling

  • School Counselling

  • NDIS Counselling


    Other aspects of the role include:

  • Psychometric testing/reporting
  • Supervision Services
  • The presentation of education programs

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology
  • Exposure to previous counselling will be highly regarded
  • Full registration or the ability to apply for provisional registration with AHPRA
  • Eligible for provider status with Medicare
  • Experience in the delivery of both individual and group counselling


  • A current working with children check
