Senior Mental Health Clinician – Evolve Therapeutic Services

·         Salary $3,897.60 -$4,194.00 per fortnight base salary

About this role:

This role would suit an experienced Mental Health Clinician looking for the next steps in their career.  With Additional funding allocated to Mental Health in 2017 – 2018 budget you will be joining an expanding health service with plenty of opportunity for career progression.

Evolve Therapeutic Service Ipswich is a multi-discipline, multi-specialist team operating within the West Moreton area.  Evolve Therapeutic Service Ipswich is part of a state-wide, cross government initiative that aims to enhance mental health, behaviour support, and participation in education for children and young people in the care of Child Safety Services through co-ordinated sustainable partnerships between the Child Safety Services, Queensland Health, Disability Services and the Department of Education and Training.

 

About you:

To be considered for this position you will need the following mandatory qualifications/professional registration

·       Occupational Therapist:

oThe successful applicant must hold a tertiary qualification, or equivalent, in occupational therapy and be registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

oMembership or eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia is desirable. Ability to demonstrate all units of competency as set out in the Australian Competencies for Occupational Therapists in Mental Health (1999), whilst not mandatory, would be well regarded. 

·       Psychologist:

oThe successful applicant must hold general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

oSpecialist endorsement in clinical psychology, whilst not mandatory, would be well regarded.

o The successful applicant will be expected to seek approval by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA, AHPRA) to provide supervision via accredited pathways (Work in Addition to Higher Degree; 4+2 Internship; Registrar Program; Higher Degree Program).

·       Social Worker:

oThe successful applicant must have eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

oAASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker &/or post graduate studies would be highly regarded.

·       Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is expected for this position.
